
KABUL, 09 July 2017 – The United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan and head of UNAMA Mr. Tadamichi Yamamoto, attended and delivered speech in the opening of 20th Joint Coordination and Monitoring Board (JCMB) Meeting Towards SOM 2017 in Presidential Palace, Kabul, Afghanistan. Afghan leaders and high-level representatives of the international community met to map out the key security and development priorities for the country, and identify how international support will have real impact on Afghanistan and its people. Regarded important upcoming conferences on Afghanistan dealing with security and development participants at the special session of the Joint Coordination and Monitoring Board included President Ashraf Ghani and co-chairs Eklil Hakimi, the Minister of Finance and Tadamichi Yamamoto, the UN Secretary-Generals Special Representative for Afghanistan.
